IIT Roorkee and Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the IIT Roorkee GNEC Campus, Noida, to strengthen collaboration in education, research, innovation, and advanced training across engineering and sciences. The partnership aims to foster joint research initiatives, faculty exchanges, collaborative student projects, and industry-driven innovation aligned with national priorities.

The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Prof. K.K. Pant, Director IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani. The programme also featured presentations on the R&D ecosystems of both institutions by Prof. Vivek Malik, Dean (Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy), IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Shibu Clement, Associate Dean (GCIR), BITS Pilani, followed by an interaction session moderated by Prof. R. R. Sonde.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research, sustainable technologies, and innovation-driven solutions that contribute to India’s technological advancement and nation-building.
